Our condolences to the Griffin family. Phil and Jim shared a Sigma Nu brotherhood that lasted for decades! Jim and Barbara were wonderful friends. Jim's enthusiasm for life and strong work ethic, as well as his continued kindness to others leave lasting  memories for his friends and family to cherish.

My sympathy to the family.  I knew Jim in high school and as a Sigma Nu friend to my husband, Don.  Jim was in my algebra class in the 11th grade.  He was always a quiet gentleman.

My Uncle Jim was such a fantastic guy! Always that Griffin smile on his face and his famous "Kathy Baby!" in greeting me.When we moved back to Jacksonville in 1969 and I met Barbara for the first time and my new cousins Brian and Bruce,I loved being around them all. Wonderful Holiday memories around the huge table in the den, wonderful days at the Beach House and of course my annual visits to Jims office. Jim and Barbara were always so good to me and loving. I will miss them both so very much.
Jim was so inspiring how he always went forward and fought full force! He was the best! 
I know he is with Barbara now and my Mom and Dad and all our wonderful family that has passed on.
I love you Jim and will miss you daily.

Many years ago when my daughter fell off her bike , Dr Griffin came to her rescue not only with expertise but with compassion.  I saw Dr Griffin in the grocery store about a month ago. He not only knew me but also that my daughter had gone on to med school and asked about her. A truly warm and compassionate man , who will be missed by many. our condolences to the family.

50 years ago I met my first boss, mentor and friend in Jim. The biggest bump up was when he married Barbara and I had another person to enhance my life.They "grew up" that 19 year old by teaching a work ethic and how to be a valued friend.
I'll miss Fridays at Epping.
My thought are with the family, especially Brian who put in the day to day hard work taking care of his Dad.
