Jim was my best friend at Muncie Central HS in Muncie, IN.  His father was our HS principal.  He was very athletic, played quarterback in football, guard in basketball, and played on the tennis team. We went through Junior High and High School in every class together and sang in choir together.  He never got a grade lower than an A.  He loved Physics and Science classes.  I last saw him when he visited his brother in California around 1991 - 1992.  He was always the same intelligent, witty, low-key, wonderful person.  I am sad and in disbelief.  Mark L.

Jim was a good friend and co-worker at GE for many years.  We enjoyed many good and memorable times at work, New Year's Eve (maybe just a little scotch…) and on the tennis court, even though I was never able to beat him.  I owe him for many things including his F404 contributions working with me many years ago, tennis fun, nice social occasions - particularly with Joyce, and last but not least the only polo match I ever attended.  Our most sincere condolences to Joyce and Jim's extended family.  Jim will be missed.

Very sad to hear Jim has passed.  I worked at GE with Jim for over 30 years and used him as a knowledgeable resource who completely understood engine performance. I also played many singles and doubles tennis matches with Jim (aka: Huffer)and always enjoyed his attitude and friendship.  We had many enjoyable and amusing moments during and after tennis with the GE TDL tennis league and the other players.  Way to early for Jim.  Rest in peace.
