I am late with this message, but Jim always knew it sometimes took me awhile to get back to him. Having lost my mother a few years ago, I have an idea of what you must be going through. What helped me was the realization that my mother still lived on in me, and the way I lived my life from that moment on would be part of her legacy. Jim was more than a business associate to me. He was one of those rare people who managed to maintain his integrity, compassion and good humor in a business generally lacking in all three. I will miss him.

I am just shocked about Jim's passing.  He was such a good buddy and helped me out many times.  He adored his family.  He will be so missed.

Jimmy ... I was just talking to your dad two days prior to the sad news of his sudden death... I could still hear his voice and how he shared with me about you taking over the business (eventually) as we are planning with our two daughters.  

Your dad and I (our group go way back...actually, since the beginning of his business)  He will be truly missed, not only professionally  but as a special and personal friend.

 How fortunate you are to have such wonderful memories of this loving human being. How fortunate you are to just know him. How fortunate you are to have had him for your father.... You just know how much he loved you. 

Please give our condolences to your family. No words can bring him back, but - whenever you think of him or something reminds you of him, a smile will be in your heart. 

He will be sadly missed. May God's blessings continue to be with you and your family.

I was so glad to be back in contract with Jim again and working together.  When I moved here 10 years ago, working at Sawgrass and way over my head Jim saved me.  He was a good man, a pleasure to spend time with.  Jimmy & Family I am so sorry for your loss.  I see looking at these pictures he was a very happy and blessed man.  As we all were who knew him. It is with great sadness that we received this news.  The Recreation Team at the Amelia Island Plantation as well as myself will all be thinking of you and your family during these hard times.  Your father was such a great man and I looked up to him very much.  He was definitely my â€œgo toâ€ guy when we needed something out of the blue.  He will be missed.

James, please accept my condolences on the passing of your father.  He was my "Go To" guy someone I could always count on. He never met a stranger, was the best of the best. I am so saddened to hear of your dad's passing. It was a true pleasure to have worked with your dad and also been able to call him a friend. Jim was a great guy for so many reasons but what I think was his best quality was his relationship with you. You were so lucky to have been able to be not only father and son but best friends. We should all achieve to have these kinds of relationships and you are so lucky to have had all of those great memories with your dad. I cherished having had the oppertunity to spend time at both work and play with you guys enjoying football games and baseball games dinners out and other great times in the business.
