James Raben Spence

James Raben Spence, 76, passed away on Friday, October 16th, 2015 in his home surrounded by his family. He peacefully joined his wife, Judy Gayle Tullos Spence, to whom he had been married for 42 years prior to her death, December 18th of 2006. James, known as “Clint” to his family and close friends, served from 1957-1963 in the United States Marine Corp, achieving the rank of Corporal before being honorably discharged. After that he was a draftsman, working for companies such as Holiday Inn, Ace Fabrications, Hines III, and Florida Office Interiors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, Jacksonville Jaguar football, and being with family and friends. He is survived by his son, James Steven Spence, daughter-in-law Stefi, their two children Siri and Peter; his daughter Lisa Christine Reifsneider, son-in-law Robert Reifsneider Jr. and their three children Erin Johnathan, and Patrick. He also leaves behind a sister, Martha Jean Floyd, and brother Vernon Spence. A visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Wednesday, October 21 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. A graveside service will at 10am, Thursday, October 22 at Jacksonville National Cemtery.
