WHITFIELD, James Frederick Whitfield, 85, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014. Mr. Whitfield, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, was predeceased by his wife, Doris Whitfield and a grandson, Chad McDonald. He is survived by 4 daughters: Sue Ann Crowley of Lynn, MA, Janet McDonald of Yulee, FL, Pamela Whitfield of Lynn, MA and Debbie Whitfield of Gloucester, MA; 2 step sons, Tony (Flora) and Ralph (Lyndia) Lang; and numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren, along with several nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Thursday, March 13, at COREY-KERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 1426 Rowe Avenue. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials in Mr. Whitfield’s memory to the American Lung Association of Florida, 5526 Arlington Rd., Jacksonville, FL32211. The family would also like to thank those with Community Hospice of N.E. Florida at St. Vincent’s for their care and compassion.
