James Carlson ( J.C. ) Williams was born in Texola, Oklahoma on November 10, 1925. Predeceased by his parents, Dr. & Mrs. Carlson Williams, and brother, Harmon Williams. He was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida since the age of 3 years old. He proudly served as a Marine in World War II and on the Jacksonville Police Department for 22 years retiring as a Lieutenant. He was also an active realtor and building contractor. Enjoyed classical music, literature, and was an accomplished artist.
He is survived by two sons, James Carlton Williams, John Christian Williams; daughter, Jamey Camille Williams; granddaughter, Jennifer Williams Taylor; five great-grandchildren; friends and family, and his loving partner of 40 years, Ms. Imogene Darby.
A visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:30am on Monday, January 18th at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn Chapel, 4801 San Jose Blvd., 32207, followed by the funeral service at 11:30am.
