DAVIS - Janellen Davis, 59, passed away April 3rd, 2019 at her brother's home in Jacksonville, Florida. Janellen, a native Floridian, was born June 18, 1959, in Sebring Florida. She was raised in Jacksonville where she graduated from Englewood Sr. High School in 1977. During her senior year at Englewood, she was voted "Most Attractive", was runner up to "Best Dressed" and served as Secretary of the Senior Class of 77. After graduation, she moved to Orlando where she worked for Walt Disney World for 22 years in design and display. If you took a stroll down Main Street in Disney World in the late 1970's or early 80's, chances are you were looking at some of her first work as a window designer. While at Disney she was involved in designing sites throughout the park including the very popular Haunted House. After leaving Disney, she worked as the Office Manager of the Animal Clinic of Casselberry for about 17 years after which she retired. During retirement, she developed her skills in residential construction and re-modeling. We knew she was serious when she bought her first table saw. No job was too big for her, including the remodel of her childhood home in Jacksonville.
She was predeceased by her sister Diane E. Davis, her brother Timothy M. Davis, her father Dr. William C. Davis and her mother Mary Jane Davis. She is survived by: Ashley Barnett, daughter; Adam Barnett, son; Jalinda S. Barnett, daughter; Lily Lugo, granddaughter; 2 brothers and 2 sisters - Michael Fred Davis (Leslie) , Robert Michael Davis, Jalinda B. ("Jay") Davis and Suzie Carol Davis Randall (Steve); and many nieces, nephews and great friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. with a visitation from 2pm - 2:30 p.m. at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville, FL. 32211.
