Janet Rose Lancaster Gibbs, 74, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2012, after a lengthy illness battling lung disease. She was born in London, England on November 25, 1937, the youngest daughter of the late George Cyril and Victoria Louise Lancaster.
She is survived by her two daughters, Deborah Louise Lofberg and Lorraine Patricia Evans (Marcus); her sister, Margaret L. Clayton; her three grandchildren, Jennifer Louise Lofberg, Sarah Victoria Lofberg and Christopher Miles Harrison; her three nieces, Anne Hawks Folts, Sandra E. Clayton and Trish L. Clayton; and great-nephew, Robert Lee Hawks.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2012 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin with Rev. Kimberly Weir, Chaplain of Heartland Hospice as Officiant.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association. The family would especially like to thank Heartland Hospice for the loving care and dedication they provided during the last months of her life. May she now rest in peace in God’s loving eternal care.
