LEWANDOWSKI, After a courageous battle with cancer, Janice Lynn Lewandowski, 63, peacefully passed away with her family at her side on Wednesday, June 19, 2013. Mrs. Lewandowski was a native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville. She loved to do arts and crafts, especially making quilts and other items for her family and friends. Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Walter L. “Ski” Lewandowski; two brothers, Albert Lamar Sorrells and Allen Wayne Sorrells; and one sister, Mary “Libby” Trowell. Survivors include one daughter, Roxann Lea Lewandowski; one son, John A. Lewandowski (Jessica Mann/her earth angel); one granddaughter, Destini Boatright; two sisters, Dorothy Cox and Debra Strange (Scott); one brother, Jimmy Sorrells; several fond nieces and nephews; and a host of dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 pm Saturday, June 22, in the chapel of Corey-Kerlin Funeral home, 1426 Rowe Avenue, with Rev. F. Ray Turner officiating.
