Janice Karen Rooney, 53, passed away Monday, July 25, 2016. Mrs. Rooney was a native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville and a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church. Jan was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dewayne Looney. Survivors include her husband of 34 years, James Rooney; two daughters, Jamie Rooney and Amy “Billie” Rooney; one James “Bubba” Rooney (Deanna Minard); seven grandchildren; other loving family and friends. A Memorial Mass will be announced at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 1773 Blanding Blvd., Jacksonville, with Fr. Jose Kulathinal, Celebrant.
