Jason William Holland

May 6, 1985 – August 6, 2026

Jason William Holland, 41, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on August 6, 2026, after a brief but courageous battle with stomach cancer, surrounded by many of those who loved him.

Jason was born in Jacksonville on May 6, 1985, to Gail Regan Holland and Jack Nunnally Holland. A lifelong Floridian, Jason grew up in Jacksonville and loved the Florida lifestyle and the community he called home.

Jason graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and remained a devoted Florida Gator football fan throughout his life. He worked as Vice President of Production for Devore Capital Contracting Consulting, Inc., a career that suited him well. Jason genuinely enjoyed his work, particularly the planning, organizing, and problem-solving involved in bringing a project together.

But no role in Jason’s life meant more to him than being a father to his son, Mason.

Jason was an incredibly devoted father. He was always there for Mason, and much of what Jason enjoyed most revolved around his son. Countless hours were spent at baseball fields and football fields, helping to coach Mason, watching him compete, encouraging him, and simply being present. Jason’s proudest achievement was not something he accomplished for himself—it was watching Mason grow into the talented and responsible young man he has become.

Jason also shared his life with his longtime partner and love of his life, Deanna Barbour. Together they experienced the ordinary and extraordinary moments that make up a life shared by soulmates. Deanna stayed by Jason’s side throughout his cancer ordeal, easing his pain and discomfort with her constant care and loving presence.

Jason also knew how to enjoy life. He loved to laugh and could easily become the life of the party. He had a gift for friendship and seemed to know someone everywhere he went. Yet beneath that outgoing personality was a thoughtful, reflective and genuinely kind man who was always willing to help someone who needed him. To many who knew him, Jason was simply everybody’s friend.

Perhaps nothing captured Jason’s character more clearly than the concerns he expressed near the end of his life. Even in his final hours, his thoughts were not centered on himself. He was concerned about Mason and his future, and he worried about the health and well-being of his mother. Those who loved Jason will remember that as a final reflection of the way he lived: loving his family, worrying about the people he cared about, and putting them before himself.

Jason is survived by his son, Mason Holland; his longtime partner, Deanna Barbour; his mother, Gail Regan Holland; his sister, Laurie Holland and her wife, Savanna; his sister, Terresa Cox; his uncle, Jeff Regan and his wife, Kathy; his uncle, Eric Regan and his wife, Rhonda; his cousin, Bryan Regan and his wife Majda; his cousin, Bobby Regan and his wife Jana; his cousin Bill Regan; his nephews Steven Cox and Trevor Cox; Mason’s mom Mandy Hildreth and her husband Jeff, and many other beloved family members and friends.

Jason’s life was far too short, but its measure is found in much more than years. It is found in the son he loved and helped raise, in the woman with whom he shared his life, in the family he cared so deeply about, in the friends who laughed with him, and in the countless memories left with everyone fortunate enough to call Jason a son, father, partner, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin or friend.

And for those who knew him best, it will be difficult to think of Jason without remembering his laugh.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Hardage-Giddens Oaklawn The Legacy Lodge, 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207. Interment will follow immediately at Oaklawn Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Reception in memory of Jason will follow from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Epping Forest Yacht & Country Club, 1830 Epping Forest Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32217.
