Jean G. Rhodes

Jean Gardner Rhodes, 75, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2010. She was born on May 14, 1934 in Shelbyville, TN to Walden Gardner and Margaret Pyrdum Gardner. Jean loved her family and her dogs. She loved being with her grandchildren, and soaking up the sun on the beach. She was a dear friend and best friend to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed and her love will be cherished forever. Jean is survived by her son, Steven Keith Rhodes of Jacksonville, FL; her daughter, Sandra K. Assidy of Jacksonville, FL; her 3 grandchildren, Andrea "Nikki" Pelham, Morgan Assidy and Jon Gardner Assidy; her former husband, Al Rhodes of Eufala, AL; her family and friends in Shelbyville, TN. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hardage - Giddens Edgewood Funeral Home, 729 S. Edgewood Ave., Jacksonville, FL.
