     Having just learned of Jerry Ferguson's passing, I feel deep and sudden grief and sadness. Jerry sponsored me in the Woman's Club of Jacksonville and immediately included me in the many works of Club activities and events. 
     I enjoyed a sense of family whenever in Jerry's presence--her vibrant, brilliant, yet earthy stories and quotations from favorite books take me back to our visit at the dining table, sunshine  streaming from those high windows over her shoulders as she shared chosen passages and read them aloud for fun.  
      She made me laugh; she broadened my life through her  friendship. She inspired me. 
     Sending love and sympathy to the Ferguson Family in their loss.

To know Jerry Ferguson was to realize you were blessed to be mentored by a woman of great wisdom and strength.  She was kind and caring and always willing to share he lovely home for good causes. (And her delicious cookies) Her creative ideas made life-changing differences in the lives of many young women seeking to become leaders in the Jacksonville community.  She will be missed but she has left an amazing legacy of giving and caring and planning and acting that will live on forever.
Jerry Ferguson will be remembered by many of us in The Woman's Club of Jacksonville for her pearls of wisdom and knowledge and caring. I feel blessed to have had her in my life.
