Jerry Roger Stroud

Jerry Roger Stroud, 68, passed away February 27, 2016 with his loving wife and two children by his side after a courageous battle against glioblastoma. He was born September 21, 1947 in Jacksonville, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a sister. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Priscilla; son, Michael Stroud and fiancée, Kathy; daughter, Michelle Stroud Bordin and her husband, Stephen; he was Papa to his grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor and Tristan Stroud, Isabel, Cole, Jack and Sam Bordin, soon-to-be Natalie and Matthew Polleschultz; one brother, numerous sisters and brothers-in-law and many nephews and nieces, one aunt and several cousins.

Our family would like to thank his doctors at Baptist Medical Center Downtown, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Community Hospice of Northeast Florida for their loving care during his short illness.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin with a reception to follow.
