Jesse Franklin Benton III, born December 6, 1951, passed away peacefully at his Jacksonville, FL home on March 23, 2025. Born in White Plains, New York, Jesse grew up in Dudley, Massachusetts, where he developed a love for the quiet country life he often shared with friends from the city.
Growing up, Jesse had a passion for motors. He spent his young adult years tinkering with his car and riding his dirt bike through trails, often with his loyal dog Kelly racing alongside him. This childhood passion evolved into a lifelong pursuit, earning Jesse a reputation as a true All-American motorcycle and car enthusiast.
Jesse capped off his long and dedicated career by retiring as Warehouse Manager from Valley Green Center, Inc., following many years of service at Sakrete in Oxford, Massachusetts.
After retiring, Jesse and his family made the sunny city of Jacksonville, Florida, their new home, embracing a more relaxed pace of life. You could often find Jesse tending to his home and cars, or hitting the open road on his motorcycle, bound for the beach with his wife, Debby.
Beneath Jesse's tough exterior and stubborn streak, his community knew him as a kind-hearted, humorous, and family-focused individual who brought joy and warmth to the neighborhood. His passing will leave a profound void in the lives of many families who loved him.
Jesse is survived by his wife, Deborah (Piasta) Benton; their daughter, Jessie Roseanne Loucia Benton; and his son, Shaun Paul Benton.
Jesse was the first-born child of the late Jesse F. Benton II & Lucy (Nacerino) Benton.
He leaves behind his five siblings: Paul Richard Benton, Donna Lee (Benton) O’Day, Christopher Thomas Benton, Leslie Anne Benton-Norris & MaryEllen (Benton) Banks.
