Last night we came across a letter in her room that was clearly a draft of her own obituary. I think she would want others to read it here.

"Jessie Nell (Igou) Brown born Nov. 1928 in Appling County, eleven miles west of Baxley, GA on a farm. Parents Adam and Lola Igou, both deceased. Jessie graduated from Baxley GA High School in 1947.

Jessie moved to Jacksonville, FL in June 1947 and went to work with Southern Bell Telephone Co. She met and married her husband Albert L. Brown who was from Charleston, SC. They were married for forty-five years when Albert died. 

Jessie worked with the City of Jacksonville for eleven years in the Communications Department and worked with airport security for seven years. 

Jessie cherished her growing up on the farm. They grew most of their own foods on the farm. All their vegetables, peaches, pears, and grape arbor, strawberries, sugar cane, and made their own syrup and own meal & grits. They had eight pecan and one walnut tree.  They raised their own beef, pork, and chickens and were nearly sufficient as for food. 

Jessie loved her family and her granddaughter who she and her husband spent a lot of time with."

Mom and Dad are together once again.  Love and peace of heart to all who share in their eternal life and love.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. We are deeply saddened by the loss of a dear sister and friend. May God comfort all of you as only He can do.
