I will always remember your father. He was a genuinely kind man.  It was was a privilege  and a pleasure knowing him.  May God bless you and your family.

So sorry for your loss, thinking of you and your family.  Your father was one of the kindest men I knew.  God bless.

I always am mindful to ask about Mr. Gay when I visit family and friends in Jacksonville.   I was saddened when my mother called me today to give me the news of his passing.   I am somewhat speachless, but with mixed emotions. Joy in that he has a perfect mind and body with our Heavenly Father, but sadness that his light will no longer shine.   And did it shine!  I worked for Mr. Gay for 17 years, and in all those years I can only remember one day where he did not walk in to work with a smile on his face and a cheerful greeting, and it was when he lost his mother. He made it a point each and every day to greet each employee with a smile and a warm greeting.  I never saw him angry or hear him raise his voice, and he could always put a positive spin and bring a chuckle even in a difficult situation.  I will be forever thankful that God granted me the privilege and opportunity to have worked with such a fine, caring man. My memory of him is of a man who lived each day to the fullest, and received great joy in bringing joy to others.  To have known him is to have been blessed.   I was greatly blessed!  Kevin and Julie, I know your hearts are heavy, but rejoice in the wonderful heritage he left you both.
