Role Model.  Mentor. Coach.  These are the monikers that are most often used to describe Jimmy.  After talking with him, even once, you also knew he was a devoted and loving FAMILY man.  His pride in his former players at AFA, ALL and ACDS was genuine and stood the test of time. His involvement with and affection for his family was rare and special.  The mark he left on his world was deep and farther reaching than most will ever achieve.  Jimmy, you will be deeply missed and greatly loved.

My Uncle Jimmy. Though living miles apart, each and everytime I saw him was a special time of newly made found and eventful memories. Riding with him in the car as a young child to the store. He rolled his window down and started singing out the window real loud embarrassing me. Farting and telling me I shouldn't do that out loud. Defending me from a dog attack, he came running out of his house telling the neighbor, " you better tie that dog up before I kick your butt so hard you'll be wearing it around your tonsils" And the visits he took me and my Dad to visit Ole Uncle Freeman. Stories I can't even talk about. Some of my most favorite memories of My Uncle Jimmy was sitting out on the porch, rain or shine with stories of fun and laughter. He loved sitting outside and even with our revent visits we would sit outside and talk. Also, the many phone calls we had after my Mom (his Sister) passed. I missed her so much and he had all the right things to say helping me through that time. Never a phone call ended without a great laugh. We always talked bad and rude to each other but never ment it, it was all in fun. Thanks for your love, your humor and the pleasure of your company You Ole Goat. Tell Mom I said hi. I'll be seeing you. Love you and miss you already. Debbie
