Mrs. Jo Carolyn Corbitt, 82, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017. She was a native of Atkinson County, GA and a longtime resident of Jacksonville. Jo had worked for Setzers Food Fair and Pantry Pride as a head cashier. She retired from Florida Community College, working in the accounting department. She was also an active member of Highlands Baptist Church since 1964. Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Milton Corbitt and her son, Lewis Dwight Corbitt. Survivors include her sister, Yvonne Curtis; her brother, Wayne Lott; close friends, Ken and Ann Edmonds and John Newburn; other loving family and dear friends. Per Jo’s request, she will be cremated and her cremains are to be buried beside her husband in Pearson, GA. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday, March 23, at Highlands Baptist Church, 2159 Broward Road, with Pastor Art Taylor officiating.
