

Joan DuPree Hardage 78, native and life long resident of Jacksonville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 3, 2012 after a brief illness. She was born June 20, 1933, the daughter of the late Henry G. and Mary DuPree. She graduated from Landon High School in 1951 and attended the University of Florida where she became the President of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority in her sophomore year. Joan was also crowned the Sigma Chi Derby Queen. During her life she was active in several charitable and civic organizations in Jacksonville. Joan was a very devoted mother who was actively involved in her children’s lives.
In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her brother, Robert F. DuPree Sr.
Surviving are her loving children, Richard O. Hardage Jr., and his wife Rebecca, Mary Hardage Archuleta, and her husband Patrick, Lee G. Hardage, and his wife Kathyleen . She is also survived by her granddaughter Trisha Archuleta.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 1:00PM at the Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave. Jacksonville, FL. 32207.
Pastor William “Bill” Marshall and Pastor Al Whiddon will co-officiate.

Memorial donations can be made to the Northeast Florida Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society or River Garden Hebrew Home.
