Joan Glickman Talpalar, 81, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015, after a short illness. She was born August 1, 1933, and grew up in Perry, FL. She was a retired Duval County schoolteacher with 31 years of service, most notably at Greenfield Elementary. Her many passions included spending time with her family and grandchildren, traveling the world, and playing Mah-Jongg with her longtime friends. Survivors include her devoted husband of 60 years, Ben Talpalar, loving children Elyse (Rich) Jonas, Sharon (Evelyn) Talpalar, and Mark (Wendy) Talpalar, and grandchildren Max, Jamie, and Emily Talpalar.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, January 26, 2015, in The King David section of Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville FL. With Rabbi Jonathan Lubliner officiating
