Joan Ann (Harder) Tracy, daughter of Richard and Ethel Harder, was born in Greene, New York on March 9, 1938. She graduated from Pensacola High School, Class of 1956 and married William “Ken” Tracy in 1958. They were married for 51 years. She happily took on the role as a Navy wife and over the next few years became mother to five wonderful children, Scott, Kristin, Gregg, Brett and Allison. The Navy took them to reside all over the country and included a few years in London. During their retirement years they enjoyed spending months at a time sailing the intracoastal on their boat, Joken II. Eventually they settled in Jacksonville, Florida. Joan had a love for nature and a passion for animals, especially her cats Captain and Sailor. She passed away peacefully on June 29, 2022.
She is survived by her brother Richard, her five children and her 13 grandchildren who she adored.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 29, 2022 at 6:30pm at the Mandarin Community Club, 12447 Mandarin Road, Jacksonville, FL 32223.
