John F. Acree, 50, of Jacksonville died February 14 after a brief illness. He was born March 26, 1960 in Jacksonville. A U.S. Navy veteran, John served on the USS Lexington. He was a member of American Legion Post #11. John was dedicated to his family and friends. He was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School class of 1978. He leaves behind his parents, Cecil and Frances Acree, three brothers, Craig (Kathy), David and Charles Acree, many nephews, nieces, cousins and numerous friends. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 19th at Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church, 4001 Hendricks Ave., in Jacksonville. A private burial will be at Jacksonville National Cemetery. Arrangements by Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville.

Uncle Cecil and Aunt Francis,
