John "Johnny" George Bannon

John "Johnny" George Bannon, age 68, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025. Johnny was born in Jacksonville, Florida to John A. Bannon and Marion Mary Hogan Bannon. Johnny was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed watching his beloved Florida Gators.

Johnny is preceded in death by his parents, John and Marion Bannon; his infant son, Baby Boy Bannon; and long-time companion, Marsha Lay. Johnny is survived by his daughters Ashley Bannon and Katrina Batten; his four grandchildren Aubree, Aldun, Adalee, and Axul; sister, Eveann Haim (Bernie); nephew, Travis Haim (Rebecca); niece, Christy Croxton (Jeff); great-nephews and niece Hayden Johns, Finley Johns, Logan Haim, Preston Haim, and Garrett and Grant Croxton; and one great-great nephew, Arthur Haim.

A graveside service for Johnny will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Jacksonville Memory Gardens, 111 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL 32073. Pastor Rick Reed will serve as officiant of the service.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Community Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Johnny.
