John Gregory Campanini entered into eternal life on May 10, 2019. Greg was 57 and was born on May 22, 1961 in Jacksonville, FL to Nicholas and Shirley Campanini. Greg lived most of his adult life in Jacksonville, FL, a city that he loved for the wonderful recreational activities including the St. Johns River, the beautiful beaches and the wonderful climate.

Greg attended the University of Florida and studied Business Administration. Greg found his passion in life by providing and managing competitive employee benefits solutions to his many business clients. Greg started his own company, J. Gregory & Associates in 1990 with faith and passionate desire to provide the most price competitive and comprehensive employee benefits to his clients. J. Gregory & Associates evolved into the current firm, JG & A Benefit Advisors, which recently celebrated its benchmark 30th Anniversary. Greg was a compassionate and giving person who was always looking out for the best interest of others. Greg was a prideful and humble man, quick to offer help to others, slow to ask for help for himself. Greg was kind hearted, almost to a fault and would give a total stranger the shirt off his back or the shoes off his feet to help them out. Greg faced a terrible cancer diagnosis with the same passion and commitment that he led his life. He battled against this terrible disease on three separate occasions and never complained and never gave an inch. Greg lived life to the fullest and was looking forward to retirement so that he could spent quality time with his beautiful wife Victoria traveling and enjoying their family. I am reminded of one of Greg’s favorite songs was “My Way” performed by the late great Frank Sinatra. A few versus of this song captures Greg’s essence.

And now, the end is near And so I face the final curtain My friend, I'll say it clear I'll state my case, of which I'm certain I've lived a life that's full I've traveled each and every highway And more, much more than this I did it my way Regrets, I've had a few But then again, too few to mention I did what I had to do And saw it through without exemption I planned each charted course Each careful step along the byway And more, much more than this I did it my way Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew When I bit off more than I could chew But through it all, when there was doubt I ate it up and spit it out I faced it all and I stood tall And did it my way

They don’t write them like this anymore and they don’t make them like Greg anymore.

Greg married the love of his life Victoria and they shared many wonderful years together. Greg is survived by his devoted wife Victoria Campanini of Jacksonville, his daughter Kearsten and her children Juan and Kenneth, his parents Nicholas and Shirley Campanini, his brother and sister, Thomas Campanini and Debbie Jones and his niece Sheryl Jones. Mother and father in law Carl and Penny Mumford. Sister in laws Penny Mumford and Sophia Reeves. Brother in laws Carl Mumford and Mark Reeves & many nieces and nephews. Greg was taken away from us too soon and will be missed terribly by his family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society so that we can put an end to this terrible disease.

Greg was such a kind spirited man. My husband Shane and I admired Greg on how business savvy he was and how much he wanted to help us grow in our own lives. He and Victoria were the true example of love. Shane and I are glad we had the chance to know him.

Greg was a great guy.

i primarily had a business relationship with him since 2009. He did a very nice job for our company the last few years and helping us insure our employees and put up with my analytical nuttiness.

Greg had a very unique personality and really cared for his clients, and was crazy about his family, i only wish i had gotten to know them.

I will miss our Starbucks meetings and our very varied conversations.

Greg gave my friend a life filled with loved. He was a wonderful husband, provider and father. He handled himself with so much dignity and poise, much respected qualities. I only wish the memories fill Victoria's and the entire family's heart and souls as they embark on the journey ahead. This picture is from our trip to JAX and in that moment along with many others...I knew my friend of many years was truly happy. Greg will be missed by many. My prayers are with Victoria, Greg's parents, siblings, the children and the entire family!

Greg was always extremely kind to our family. He managed my husband's workplace business insurance. He worked with me to get onto a Cobra program, and then to an insurance on my own. He always called back and was so personable. He worked a small miracle to get our insurance to cover Mark's emergency return to the USA after being a victim in a motorcycle accident with crippling consequences. I'm sure he worked hours and hours for his clients, making sure they had the best. We'll miss you Greg. Life isn't fair sometimes, but only God knows the reason. Peace and freedom to you Greg, which I'm sure heaven is providing.
