Some of my favorite memories from my almost 27 years at Citi were from the period I was reporting to John. Even during the times of stress and pressure from work we never saw John lose his cool or react negatively to bad news. I don’t recall anyone who ever had any negative experiences with John. My fellow former colleagues below were far more eloquent in their comments! But I will never forget John, Rest In Peace!

For a long time, John and I did home visits to our clients at Saint Vincent de Paul, I learned so much from him.
A beautiful gentle spirit man!.
I am sure, God will send John’s spirit to guide us.
May God Bless Maryrose and her family.

Not often you will meet someone who you can find no fault with. This is a true description of the kind of man John was and will be remembered for during the time I spent working with him. I had the pleasure of working for John from 1986 until his retirement from Citi. In addition to his strong work ethic, I will always remember the love he had for Maryrose and his family.

God bless you John.

I had the honor and privilege of working for John from 1995 until his retirement from Citi. Mike Wind's description of his character and temperament is spot on. John was indeed an honorable, kind and unselfish man, a class act all the way...and had a good sense of humor to boot. He was very smart and the most ethical person I've ever known.

Peace to his family, especially Maryrose.

I first met John when he was assigned to a small task force of mine to help clean up issues in the Mortgage business. That was in the early 90's I was amazed at his tenacity to do the right thing and his pleasant approach to resolving difficult problems.
I hired John as my Sr. Compliance Officer and never regretted a moment to his service to make things right and treat people with dignity and respect. I retired in 2004 and knew that I left Compliance in good hands.
I had the utmost respect for John, he took on challenges as day to day tasks.
Although he reported to me, I learned a lot from him. Not only knowledge of the business but how to treat people, teach people and live a good life.
He always spoke highly of his family, it was very easy to see how much he was proud of his sons and how much he loved his wife.
I considered John a friend. And to be Johns friend was a privilege.

It was an honor and a privilege to serve under John in SJDR's St. Vincent de Paul conference. John had a truly compassionate heart for the poor and less fortunate in our community. He was a gentleman and a class act, all the way.

Eternal rest grant unto John, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.

John and I taught CCD for a couple of years at SJDR. John was a very intelligent, holy, committed and kind man. May the angels help him soar high in his new home with Jesus. My prayers for his family as they are comforted with sweet memories.
