John Clark Farrell

John Clark Farrell, 82, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026. He was born on March 15, 1944, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Aubrey Clark Farrell and Edna Mae Stevens Farrell.

John was a graduate of Belmont College in Nashville, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved sister, Barbara Fay Morris of Memphis, Tennessee, and his Farrell Angel granddaughter, Riley Elizabeth Farrell of Jacksonville, Florida.

John was married to the love of his life, Sara “Ann” Wright Farrell, for 61 years. Together, they built a life centered around family, faith, and love. He was a devoted father to four sons: Brian (Jennifer), Craig, Jonathan (Amber), and Bradley (Linda). He was also a proud grandfather to six grandchildren and a great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren.

John was a faithful Christian and served as a Deacon at San Jose Church of Christ in Jacksonville, where he and Ann were devoted members for more than 53 years. His faith was an important part of his life, and his church family held a special place in his heart.

John loved sports—all sports. But more than simply watching a game, he especially loved watching his sons play and supporting them from the sidelines. He took great pride in his family and cherished the many memories made through the years.

John will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather, faithful Christian, and loyal friend. His love for his family, his faith, and his genuine enjoyment of life will remain a lasting part of the lives of all who knew and loved him.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family and friends.

Memorial service is scheduled for Friday, September 25, 2106 at 2:30, visitation at 1:30 at the San Jose Church of Christ, 6233 San Jose Blvd W, Jacksonville, FL 32217.
