Firlotte, John W. (Sonny), 78, entered into rest on Wednesday, April 10, 2013. John was predeceased by his parents, James Firlotte & Eleanor Hayes, his daughters; Ronda Lynn Firlotte (1995), Sandra Jean Allen (2012) and his brother; Dr. Ron Mayer (1970). He is survived by his wife of 43 yrs. Judy Brown Firlotte, 3 sisters, children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. John dearly loved his precious dog “Little Bit.”. John owned and operated “ Sonny’s Wrecker Service, “ for several years and retired from Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office on June 18, 1999 as a correctional sergeant .John was a member of Hope Baptist Church. The family would like to thank, Heartland, Riverwood Center and Hospice for their wonderful care during the past 8 months. “Special Thanks “to, Faye J. Firlotte for her support daily. A viewing will be held on Friday, April 12, 2013 from 6-8pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home 4300 Beach Blvd. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 12pm.
