John H.Flood, Jr. Dad died April 15, 2012. He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Jenny, and is survived by his sons: Steven (Marie, Tony, Steven, Jr., and Therese), Bradley (Cindy Brown), David, and Alan (Maresa, Caleb, Shauna, and Sarah). Dad was a University of Florida graduate (1943) and a World War II Navy veteran. He worked at RS&H in the 1940's before starting his own civil engineering firm in the early 1950's. FLOOD Engineers designed many subdivisions, water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and pipelines and roadways in Jacksonville, north Florida, and south Georgia. In addition to his family, he loved deep-sea billfishing, hunting, and flying. During retirement, he enjoyed tending his citrus trees and breeding Labradors. A viewing and memorial service will be held on April 19, 2012 at 10:00 AM and 11:00 PM, respectively, at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northeast Florida Community Hospice.
