John Thomas Givens

John graduated from Walton High School (1956), following his graduation he served in the US Navy (3 years), he then married Wanda (Smith) Givens in 1959 and worked 35 years with the FAA in Hilliard.

He was a member of the Ford F150 and Mustang car clubs and was very active in the Jacksonville car counsel, he was also an active member of the Oceanway Masonic Lodge, anybody that knew John knew his love for vintage cars.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother (Robert Lee Givens Jr) and sister (Annie Pearl Holland) and grandson (Brian Givens) and daughter in law (Sibyl Givens).

John leaves behind his wife of 63 years (Wanda Givens), children John Michael Givens, Teresa (Givens) Nazworth (Keith), grandchildren Melissa Bird, Evan Blackman, Shelby Kumm (Brandon) and three great grandchildren, sister Foye (Givens) Gramley (Robert) and brother-in-law Robert Holland and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Sept 03,2022 at 1130 AM at Corey - Kerlin Funeral Home (Rowe Ave), viewing will begin at 1030 AM, Brother Dave Malberg will be officiating the service.

John will be laid to rest on Sept 06,2022 (1130 AM) at the Veterans National cemetery on Lannie Rd.
