John Wills Harris

HARRIS John Wills Harris, 86, passed away on Tuesday April 21, 2009. Mr. Harris was born in Starke, Florida and had resided in Jacksonville most of his life. He was the former owner of Harris Metal Fabricators on Lem Turner Rd., a member of First Baptist Church, in Rick Peterson’s men’s class. He was a former member of Lake Forest Baptist Church. Mr. Harris was a veteran of the U. S. Navy proudly serving during World War II and the Korean War. He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years Billye Dent Harris and a brother Bill Harris.Survivors include his sons, Mark Harris (Phyllis) and Ron Harris (Diane); 4 grandchildren, Michael Harris, Amanda Soltau (Scott), Christopher Harris (Lauren) and Justin Harris; great granddaughter, Addison Soltau; and several nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday April 24th, at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940 Cesery Blvd. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday morning April 25th at the Funeral Home. Interment will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday afternoon in Glennville City Cemetery, Glennville Georgia with Military Honors at graveside.
