

HOLLANDJohn Woodard Holland (age 79) went home to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, July 27, 2014. He was born in Appling County, Georgia. He was a faithful member of Arlington Baptist Church since 1955 where he served as a Deacon and a greeter. He enjoyed being a member of ABC Trailblazers. He served in the Army and retired from Jacksonville Electric Authority. He was a member of the Temple Lodge No. 23 since 1963 and A&A Scottish Rite Masonic Center 32nd degree since 1965. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his daughter Susan Cauthen (Chuck), son James Holland, grandsons Charlie Cauthen (Casy) and John Holland (Audrey), granddaughter Katie Kernohan (Brian), four great-grandchildren Gabe, Chris, Eve, and Chase, brother Ed Holland (Mildred), sister Grace Gaskin, numerous other relatives and close friends. He will be greatly missed by all. He was predeceased by his loving wife Bonnie, of 57 years, parents Woodward and Lula Holland, brother Foster, and sisters Gladys, Wilma, Thelma, Essie, and Bobbie. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 2, at 9:30 a.m. at Arlington Baptist Church with services immediately following at 10:30 a.m. at the church with Dr. Bill Coffman and Brother Fred Norman officiating. Burial to follow at Arlington Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be sent in John’s memory to Arlington Baptist Church. Arrangements by Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home.
