John L. Hurley Jr, 66, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away in his sleep on September 14th, 2022. He was born in El Paso, Texas to the late John L. Hurley Sr and Clara T. Hurley. A retired HVAC mechanic, John was an Army veteran who also served overseas as a Marine armor installation contractor during Operation Iraqi Freedom. While in Iraq, he received a commendation for extinguishing a small fire that broke out overnight. John had a passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles and RC airplanes. He was preceded in death by his son Joshua J. Hurley. He is survived by his siblings Kathryn Mendoza (Stan) and Philip Hurley, son Christopher Hurley, daughters Ashley Saenz (Chris) and Kaitlyn Hurley, several grandchildren, and host of other loving family members and friends.
