John Edward Isleib II

John Isleib, 52, died September 19, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida after a battle with cancer. John was the son of Jack and Rosa Isleib. He was born in Arlington, Virginia and spent his childhood in Minnetonka, Minnesota. John attended Oral Roberts University where he met and married Davia in 1987. John started his career with IBM in Kansas and then was transferred to Minneapolis with Eastman Kodak. Shortly after, John and Davia were both called into ministry and went to Word of Life Bible Center in Uppsala, Sweden. After completing Bible School, John worked as a teacher at Word of Life Christian School and led youth teams on multiple mission trips sharing the Gospel and preaching throughout Eastern Europe. He and Davia returned to Minneapolis, MN to co-pastor Twin Cities Harvest Church with his sister, Mary Alice Isleib. Several years later John founded John Isleib Ministries and began traveling and ministering in churches all over the world. John and Davia relocated to Jacksonville, Florida in 1997 where their son David was born a year later. In July 2002, John founded Impact International Church located in Jacksonville, Florida where he served as senior pastor. John was passionate about the body of Christ, building up and encouraging a love for the church and a love for the word and presence of God.

He is survived by his wife, Davia; his son, John David; his mother, Rosa Isleib, (Vera Beach, FL); and his sister, Mary Alice Isleib (Vero Beach, FL).

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, September 23rd at Oaklawn Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. located at 4801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, 32207. A reception will be held after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in John’s honor.
