John F. Kwiatek, 65, passed away on November 4, 2012. Born in Elizabeth, NJ to Francis J. and Josephine C. Kwiatek, John was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. A veteran of the US Air Force, John worked in the Chemical Industry for over 42 years. The past 29 years a resident of FL living in Pensacola, Panama City and Jacksonville. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church where he was involved in many church activities, including the Knights of Columbus. Preceded in death by his parents and his brother, James Kwiatek, he is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Nadine K. Kwiatek; children, David Kwiatek (Mandy), Sarah A. Scott (Michael), and Paul Kwiatek; brothers, Peter Kwiatek (Linda), Tom Kwiatek (Renee), and Frank Kwiatek (Karen); sister, Frances Giegerich (Ray); 5 grandchildren; and many other family members and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 9th with Vigil Prayers at 6:30 p.m. in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 10th in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 11730 Old St. Augustine Rd.,Jacksonville, FL 32258 with Father Daniel Cody as Celebrant, followed by interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions in John’s name may be made to Divine Mercy House or to the Mandarin Food Bank.
