

John Richard Schueneman Jr., 63, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away at his home. The son of John Richard Schueneman, Sr., and Catherine Benton Schueneman. John was born at Baptist Hospital downtown and raised in Jacksonville, John was a proud graduate of Nathan Bedford Forrest High School, Class of 1979. He is survived by his children, John Raymond Schueneman (Jimmy Young) and Katherine Ann Schueneman (Scotty Cunnagin), his brothers William Wade Schueneman (Courtney) and Raymond Mark Schueneman (Lisa), his grandchildren Landyn Gauthier and Mason Gauthier, and he was eagerly awaiting the birth of his next grandson early next year.
John dedicated his life to his family and friends. He loved spending time visiting with his friends like no time had passed. He worked in the parts department at local Chrysler Plymouth dealerships in various roles including manager. He was amazing at memorizing parts numbers well before computers were the norm. He also loved history and knew all about wars, warships, and so much more.
He was a loving father to his children, John Raymond Schueneman and Katie Schueneman. His greatest joy was attending baseball games or going out to dinner with his beloved grandchildren, Landyn and Mason, who brought light and laughter to his life.
John's memory will be cherished by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. His family and friends will forever hold him in their hearts. A private family gathering will be held to honor John's life at Jacksonville Memory Gardens in Orange Park, where he will be buried next to his mom and dad. A celebration of his life will be held at John Raymond and Jimmy Young’s home on Saturday, November 16th, from 12 pm to 3 pm, at 908 Bent Creek Drive, St. Johns, Florida, 32259.
