I heard of John's passing early last year and was shocked. Still can't believe that he is gone.  God bless, and rest in peace "Big John".

Just learned of John's passing. My condolences to his family, he was a good friend. We grew up in school together, played soccer and hockey and were prefects together.

I just learned of John's passing. I only knew him for a few years, but I am shocked and saddened by the news.

Jenny, Joanna and Billy: Am sorry to hear of John's passing. John and I have friends since the late 1970's / early 80's when we both lived in Halifax. We had a lot of good times aboard the Golden Scarab and in Chester at Jack Fickes's place in Martin's River. The 3 of us continued to be in contact over the years. During John's Fall of 2014 trip to Victoria, B.C. he called to say he was going to visit us in Chilliwack for the weekend; but cancelled at the last minute because felt he should  attend a Codan company function. Less than 2 weeks before his passing he emailed an invitation for Betty and I to visit in 2015. I will always remember how much he loved his family as he spoke of you (3) often. John has been my friend for many years.  John helped me start Maritime 2-Way Radio many years ago, which has grown to the largest independent communications company in Eastern Canada.   John help with understanding international requirements.  He will be deeply missed, I know John always spoke how lucky he was to have such a great family.  My thoughts are with you all.
