Janice, LaDonna and I are saddened by John's passing. We have been praying for him since I heard a few days ago that he was ill. Our sincerest condolences to you and the boys.

The Chandler family in Live Oak are deeply saddened to hear of John's passing.   This is David Chandler..... John and I were best buds from Kindergarten with Miss Smiley here in Live Oak through our college days at Florida State.  We made lots of memories at First Presbyterian Church.  I can remember the times with John, Bernie Weaver, Mike Tyson and George Dale.   Man, those were great times.  Janice, please contact us if there is anything we can do for you or your family.  Sherry and I have lost a very important and precious person and we pray that Janice and the family will be held in the hollow of God's hands. John was a kind, thoughtful and wonderful person.

We are going to miss John at the family "eatin meetin's" but we rejoice that he's at the Master's Banquet Table now.

I will always remember John's contageous smile as he went from place to place delivering mail in city buildings. A man of impressive height and equally impressive spirit, he will be sorely missed by co-workers. May God bless, keep, and comfort his family.

I first met John and Janice at Westminster Presbyterian Church in 1978.  These were (and are) solid, genuine people.  I fondly remember when little Clay was born and how the happy parents brought him to church in a little FSU outfit.  Many years at three different churches (and choirs) passed.  I sat next to John in the bass section.  After I moved on to another church, I would gladly receive a call from John inviting me to the annual Super Bowl party at his house.  That was the last time I saw him, at last year's party.  When he would call, we would spend a while talking about various events and the times, John making as many jokes as I did.  He was one of the few people that could really make me laugh.  I was usually the clown in the crowd, but John would ably and happily join in.  I would mention that I wished we talked more often, and now that I am retired I had hoped to do that.  This really took me by surprise.  Within the same week of hearing that he was in the hospital, I then hear of his passing away into glory.  We shall sing in the choir again some day, John, when the role is called up yonder.

Dear Janice & family, Richard and I are praying for you as you go through this difficult Providence.  We know from the years we have known both you and John that your hope and comfort comes from Christ.  No human abilities can bring the peace and comfort Christ can and does bring.  May you experience His presence and comfort now and in the days ahead.  We have so many wonderful memories of John, from our years at Ortega Presbyterian, time in your home, the homes of mutual friends and even a memorable trip to NC.  I have shared more than one cigar with John.  More than anything, John loved Jesus and bore witness to Christ by his life.  I know there is rejoicing in Heaven...a son is home.  We love you. John Teagle was a gentle giant. He hired me with the Department of Corrections in 1989. There was never a time that I could not ask for guidance and he always had an open door policy and gave great advise. He even allowed me to call him an eagle, I thought he was a man with great strength and courage. God bless his family. Remember his smile and the days will become brighter. It was my privilege to have known John for some thirty years and to have serve with him both as a deacon and Elder in our churches. John loved the Lord and his family. His example of dedication to them both shall always remain with me. As John's frame was big, so was his love for family and friends. I saw John grow over the years to a man of Godly wisdom and now he knows as he was known. Rest my brother in Christ, your reward is at hand.
