YONN - John L. Yonn, 72, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015. A native of Jacksonville, John was a veteran of the US Air Force having served in Vietnam. He retired from JEA where he was an Underground Lineman and was a member of IBEW 177. He was also a Mason and Shriner. John now joins his wife, Cheryl Anita Yonn and his sisters, Norma Lee and Liz. His surviving family includes: his daughter, Michelle (Johnny) Yonn Simmons; a son, John “Al” Yonn; two grandchildren, Johnny A. “Buckshot” Simmons, III and Zoey Cheryl Yonn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as other extended family members. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM in Evergreen Cemetery (Gate#5). The family will receive friends Saturday beginning at 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 1426 Rowe Ave.
