

Jordan Ross Brothers, 26, went home to be with the Lord on September 16, 2011. He was surrounded by his loving family. Jordan is survived by his mother, Julie Mohrman, father, Jimmy Brothers, Brother, Jarrett Brothers, stepfather, Paul Mohrman, Grandparents, Dolores Gilstrap, Rose and Ivey Joyner, Jim Brothers, Jr. and Jo Rewis; aunts, Debbie Brothers, Dawn Brothers, Holly Gilstrap, Amy Ream, Lurie Toth; uncles, Steve Gilstrap (Kathy) and Ed Faucette; cousins, Lorne Hale, Clint Gilstrap, Karissa Gilstrap, Megan Kirkwood, Trent Kirkwood, Nathan Ream; friend, Karen Belson; special friend, Jessie Watson and numerous other family members and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bill Gilstrap.
A Jacksonville native, Jordan graduated from Sandalwood High School where he played football. He also attended University Christian School and Florida Community College. An avid sports fan, Jordan loved to play many sports. His favorite teams are the University of FL Gators, Jacksonville Jaguars and NY Yankees. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, biking, the beach and wildlife. Jordan was a passionate young man, fiercely loyal to his family and friends. He loved children and animals, especially pets, Oliver, Baylee and Waffles. Jordan’s family will miss his beautiful smile and zest for life.
Visitation will be Friday, September 23, 2011 from 6 – 8 pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32207. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 24, 10:00 am at Baymeadows Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
