Tito was a man of God and family man, who loved Jesus, Mother Mary, the New York Yankees, the Mayaguez Indians in Puerto Rican Baseball League, and the Jacksonville Jaguars. He enjoyed playing pool, cards and dominoes with family and friends.
He will be remembered with love by his beloved wife and high school sweetheart Rebecca Baez, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage, his children Ana M. Vargas (Angel Jusino), José M. Vargas (Mary), and Omayra Vargas (Danny Rivera), his grandchildren José Vargas, Jorge Vargas (Caroline), Eric Middlebrook and Evan Middlebrook (Jenny), as well as his great grand-daughter Cecilia. His Church Community in Ensenada, Puerto Rico and in Jacksonville, Florida were always near to his heart, and they, too, share the sorrow for his departure from this earth, but rejoice in his admission into Heaven.
Tito is also survived by his siblings, Manuel Ayala, Maximiliano Galarza “Papó”, Rafael Galarza “Fifo”, Priscilla Galarza “Prissy”, Milagros Galarza, and Lillian Galarza, their spouses, and many nephews, nieces, and godchildren.
Tito will be remembered for his sense of humor, fun personality, kindness, and his beautiful singing voice. Most of all, he will be remembered for his unshakable faith in God, and his love of the Catholic Church, it’s traditions, teachings, and sacraments.
