4 years has passed , we miss and love you with every passing day.  RIP  Little Joe

Joe was a good guy, a good friend, and a classmate of Walton High School in DeFuniak Spgs.   Our deepest sympathy to the family.

On behalf of the Patron Four Five Association, please accept our sincere sympathy on the loss of Joe.  He and I were in VP-45 during the years 1972 - 1975, but he served with the Squadron from 1968 - 1977.

He was a great man and will be missed by many!  God Bless all of you!

Joe  was a great mentor to a young AWAN in VP45.  Always a friend and one to be there for shipmates when needed.

What an incredible man Joe was. The most amazing example of a true man of God. I'll miss our conversations and always the best advice a wise friend could share. Your dedication to your family was always so filled with Love. We have known Joe for 23 years, here in Jacksonville and he has always been a good neighbor and helpful friend.  Always looked out for his neighbors. 
Our hearts are saddened by his passing.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Broxson family.  We will always miss Joe.  

For those who know us you know that we were raised without a father.  This man Joe Broxson along with John Broxson stepped up at very young ages and became the fathers that 3 kids desperately needed.  They took it upon themselves to mentor us, teach us, protect us, and punish us when necessary.   For this we will always be thankful for them.  Without them we would not be the people we are today.

He was a role model, a confidant, protector, an instigator, and an aggravator.  He loved to see me loose my temper, he thought it was the funniest thing he ever saw!  When he laughed his whole face laughed it wasn’t just a half smile and giggle.  We will miss this the most. 

Life gets busy and time goes by so fast.  We are so sorry it was so long since we saw you last.  Talking on the phone and knowing you were there was a security that we will no longer have.  This will be our biggest regret. The times we missed being able to see your face and hear your laugh.

In the words of Winnie the Pooh:  “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.”

You will forever be in our minds and our hearts – till we meet again we love you!

Joe was a good friend of mine. We joined the Navy at about the same time. Condolences to the family.


Joe was a classmate and friend in our school years in DeFuniak Springs.  My sincere sympathies and and prayers for peace and comfort go out to his family.

Joe was a great friend and classmate throughout our youthful years growing up in DeFuniak Springs, FL.   My deepest sympathies to the Broxson family and my prayers for peace and comfort during this time of loss and grief.

Joe was my cousin and classmate from the first grade until we graduated from Walton High School in DeFuniak Springs, Florida in 1965.  He had a great naval career retiring as a Warrant Officer.  My deepest sorry for his family.
