Mr. Livingston attended Armstrong College in Savannah, Georgia and began an illustrious career in journalism.
He was a sportswriter for the Columbus Ledger, the Atlanta Journal, and the Jacksonville Journal.
For several years he was the Managing Editor or the Jacksonville Journal. He later started his own public relations firm. The Florida Ophthalmology Association was his largest client, and he was Press Director for 13 southern states in the Kennedy and Johnson presidential campaigns.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Peggy Jo Murray Livingston, his sister Faye Livingston Gardner, brother-in-law, Dr. Charles Gardner, niece, Jo Ann Pickett Myers and nephews, Brooks Livingston, Donnie Livingston, Bill Pickett, and Jay Pickett.
A memorial service is being planned.
