

Joseph John Siok, 67, died suddenly on July 5, 2015. He was born June 12, 1948 in Queens, NY, where he attended Archbishop Malloy High School and City College of New York. Joe enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1966 and served in Vietnam. After completing 4 years of Active Duty, he moved to Orlando and worked for Martin Marietta Aerospace as a Computer Operator. Joe graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL in 1975 and that is where he met Rosemary Lindsey, his wife of 40 years. Joe enlisted with the Florida Air National Guard as a Reservist and was offered a full-time Technician position. Joe and Rosemary moved to Jacksonville, FL from Orlando in 1980. Joe loved working on the F15 and F16 as a Sheet Metal Technician. He served in the Air National Guard for 25 years. After retirement, Joe wanted another project so he worked in the Garden Department of Home Depot in St. Augustine for 12 years and loved it. Joe loved to golf and he was very proud of his 6 witnessed Holes-in-One. He especially enjoyed golfing with his Air National Guard friends. Joe is survived by his wife, Rosemary; sisters, Chris Held (Joe), and Cindy Martini Porter; nephews, Justin and Brandon Martini, many cousins, and his dear lifelong friend, Bob Murawski and his wife, Bruna. Joe will be deeply missed. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, July 9 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin with Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at 1:30pm in Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
