Michelle, as her friends and family knew her, was born on July 11, 1964, a proud native of Jacksonville’s West Side, and an alumni of Ed White High School. She was a respected project manager, with over 35 years of service at Bank of America, where she met her husband, David, in 1990. In her off-time, Michelle was heavily involved with the Chrome Divas, a volunteer and social organization for women motorcycle riders. For many years she served as the Orange Park Chapter Director and the Southeast Regional Director. She loved her motorcycle, finding new back roads and new restaurants. When she wasn’t on the road, she was probably on the water. She loved to fish, kayak, jet ski, and most of her vacations involved a beach and a margarita. Michelle was a faithful follower of Christ and a member of Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church. She most loved spending time with her family and her rescue dogs.
Michelle is predeceased by her mother, Era Lee Williams, father, James “Jim” Albert Overstreet, brother James “Mike” Michael Overstreet, and beloved black lab Jethro. She is survived by her husband David Key, son Josh Key of Melbourne, FL (Amanda), daughter Meredith Key of Pittsburgh, PA (John) and a community full of extended family and friends who adored her.
A service will be held in her memory on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 11am at Hendricks Avenue Baptist Church in Jacksonville. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Justice Coalition, Hendricks Avenue Baptist or your favorite animal rescue.
