Joyce Herrmann Gleason

Joyce Herrmann Gleason, 87, longtime resident of Jacksonville, passed away October 4, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Rochester, NY, daughter of the late Max F. and Myrtle (Wilson) Herrmann.

Joyce was a longtime member of the River City Women’s Club and an avid artist, who enjoyed exhibiting her paintings in local art fairs.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, David Gleason Sr., and her daughter, Maureen Gleason Rey.

Surviving are sons, David H. Gleason Jr., Gary M. Gleason Sr., (Peggy), daughter, Pamela Gleason Kruzich, grandchildren, Kimberly Rey Roach, Pamela Rey Norris (Drew), Heather Gleason Baldt (Scott), Gary Max Gleason Jr. (Erin), James D. Wilson (Emily), Coleen Gilbreck (Tim),and dear friends Maryanne and Jim Wellmon, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2013 from 2 – 4 pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32207. The funeral service will be Monday at 10:00 am at the funeral home with burial following in Oaklawn Cemetery.
