Joyce Gwenette Smith

Joyce Cain Smith, 71, passed peacefully in her home August 10, 2014. She fought her battle with cancer until the last second. Her strength and passion for life and family will be remembered always by all who knew and loved her. Survived by her loving husband, Marvin; children, Pamela Strasburg (Joseph), Gale Moore, Alan Moore (Britt), and Beth Anne Moore; step children, Lori Jackson (Bruce), and Angela Escher; 7 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, 2 Brothers, and 1 Sister. Born in Segno, TX, Joy resided in Jacksonville for 51 years and was retired from General Motors Parts Division where she worked for 27 years. With numerous extended family, friends, and loved ones she will be greatly missed and never far from our thoughts. She will rest in Jehovah's memory until he will resurrect her and we will be together again. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, August 16th in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2868 Westberry Rd Jacksonville, FL 32223.
