

Jubran “Joe” Assad Jubran, 79, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. With his passing the world lost a wonderful, kind, generous, and loving man. He was married to Nawal E. Jubran for 55 years. Joe was born in Ramallah, Palestine on March 17, 1946 and moved to Jacksonville, Florida on January 17, 1961. He was an active member of the Ramallah American Club and Saint George’s Antiochian Orthodox Church.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Nawal E. Jubran; his parents, Assad and Jameleh Jubran; his brother, Hanna Jubran; his sister, Rose (Mufeed) Bateh; his brother-in-law Charlie Farah; and his nephew, David Bateh. He is survived by his loving sons Nader (Rasha) and Raja Jubran, and his grandchildren, Michael, Isaac and Nadia-Nawal Jubran. He is also survived by his brother, Jamal (Nuha) Jubran; his sisters Suad Farah and Helen (Kareem) Essa and sister-in-law Jeannette Jubran; and 9 nephews, 8 nieces, and 45 great-nephews and nieces.
Joe’s extended family was an important part of his life. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. Joe also loved his Palestinian heritage, watching football, and gardening. He had an extraordinary gift for lifting spirits and spreading joy through laughter. He sacrificed so much for his family, and his grandchildren were his life. He was humble and had a servant’s heart. His legacy will live in all of our hearts.
Visitation will be held at St. George’s Antiochian Orthodox Church at 6300 Bowden Road, Jacksonville, FL 32216 on Monday, February 16 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM with funeral services to follow. Archpriest Dr. Father Kamal Alrahil will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
