Judy grew up in Statesboro, Georgia, where she attended Statesboro High School. Instilled with a lifelong love for learning, she went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University in 1968.
In her early career, Judy shared her warmth and patience with young minds as an elementary school teacher in Florida. Later in life, she enjoyed connecting with members of her community while working as a sales clerk for Dillard's and Belk department stores. After retiring, she cherished her time caring for her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
Beyond her career, Judy’s true joy was found in nature. She was deeply passionate about caring for her pets and tending to her plants. A true green thumb, you could almost always find her outside working in her yard, bringing vibrant life and beauty to the world around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Judy is survived by her devoted son, Clinton Parrott, and her beloved grandchildren, Ryland and Collin Parrott. Many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard Collins and Ruby Blackburn Collins; her three brothers, Willard Collins, Jr., Jerry Collins, and Johnny Collins; her sister, Patricia Collins Scott and her ex-spouse Edwin Parrott.
