Judith Ann Skie

Judith Ann Skie, age 75, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024. She was born in Herkimer, New York on November 20, 1948 to Clifton Henry Franklin and Louise Imigene. She married Michael Skie on May 1, 2018.

Throughout her life, Judy had an extremely high IQ: 145-153 "Mensa", after three different tests were given to her. She was the owner of six restaurants. She was employed by Publix, "Make Ahead Meals" as an instructor, and she and Mike owned Sugar Bear Antiques.

Judy enjoyed woodworking, cooking, antiquing, traveling, and well known artist painting of landscapes and flowers, as well as spending time with family and friends.

Judy has three children: son Richard F. Mechelke Jr and his wife Diane Mechelke, daughter Renee L Koppel and her husband John Merola, and son Daniel F. Mechelke and his wife Suzanne Mechelke. Judy's grandchildren are Angel Christine Jurich and her husband David Imbt, Kathleen Hanna and her husband Eric Hanna, Richard Mechelke III, Kathryn T. Koppel, Kirstin L. Koppel, Julia Dela Cruz, Arielle Rudas and Cristian Rudas. Judy's great grandchildren are Jackson Jurich, Rory C. Imbt, Charlotte Hanna and Logan Hanna.

A visitation for Judith will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 11801 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32223, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
